Krishnagar Women’s College (KWC), a NAAC accredited (B+) college affiliated under the University of Kalyani, is a premiere girls’ college in the district of Nadia. KWC has a beautiful lush green campus spreading 3.9 acres and provides its students a perfect ambiance of teaching and learning. It has inculcated an excellent academic infrastructure including smart class rooms, science labs, automated library, computer lab, free wifi, affordable canteen and a large playground to offer most modern amenities to the learners. Hostel facility is also available at a moderate cost.
Our dedicated teachers not only emphasize on regular class teaching but also arrange special lectures, add-on certificate courses, study tours, seminars and workshops throughout the year. Besides these, we offer various training programmes/courses on skill enhancement and capacity building to make the young aspirants self-reliant.
The office of the college is fully automated, aiming to provide hassle-free services to the students. Students can apply for various scholarships and avail the scope of the students’ credit card through our college portal.
KWC believes in the overall development of girls by engaging them in several co-curricular activities and outreach programmes. We also take care of mental and physical health of the students by providing them free of cost medical facilities. The college has a Grievance Redressal Cell to address the grievances of the student with utmost care. Ragging of any form is strictly prohibited in the college and the hostel.
Established in 1958 to educate refugee girls, Krishnagar Women’s College has since emerged as a multifaceted centre for women’s empowerment and emancipation. I am proud to be the Principal of this esteemed institution.
