About the Department
The Department of Mathematics started its journey in 2006. The Department offers both Honors and General undergraduate courses under the CBCS curriculum of the University of Kalyani. The Department is equipped with a computer lab and a Departmental Library.
With its limited resources the Department is presently trying to arrange preparatory classes for students willing to appear in the entrance exams to pursue higher studies in IITS, CMI, IISC and the like.
The Department invites teachers from other educational institutes to offer series of lectures for its students.
The Department also arranges seminars where eminent mathematicians are invited to give lectures preferably on topics which an UG level student can understand.
The Department has an intake capacity of 44 (forty four) students including all reservations for its Honors course.

- In every year top rankers are getting admission in higher studies.
- A few students are also doing well in succeeding exams like JAM with good all India ranks.
