Founded in 1958 to promote women's education and empowerment, Krishnagar Women’s College, (NAAC accredited B+) affiliated under the University of Kalyani, has emerged as a premiere girls’ college in the district of Nadia.

Krishnagar Women’s College aims towards providing a holistic growth among its students not only through a positive and dedicated teaching-learning environment by arranging special lectures, remedial classes, add-on certificate courses, study tours, field excursions, seminars, conferences and workshops all round the the year, but also through several co-curricular activities, NSS unit, and other outreach programmes, training, skill enhancement and entrepreneurship.  

The college, spreading over 3.9 acres of lush green campus, prides in implementing updated teaching tools and techniques and in incorporating modern teaching amenities and infrastructural facilities like digitised smart class rooms to foster an excellent teaching-learning ambiance, science and computer labs, automated library, conference hall, free wifi, affordable canteen and a large playground. The hostel facility is also available and affordable.  

The college office is also fully automated, aiming to provide hassle-free services to the students for making  applications for various scholarships and avail students’ credit card scheme.

Envisioning an all round development of the girl students, both the mental and physical health of the students are taken care of, by providing them free of cost medical facilities.

The college also has a Grievance Redressal Cell to attend to any complaints and the college strictly prohibits any form of ragging.

Keeping in tune with the mission of this college, as the Teacher-in-Charge of Krishnagar Women's College, my emphasis also lies in the importance of fostering an academic ethos that will promote all inclusive growth for all. Our college is more than an institution; it is a family where teachers, students, and non-teaching staff members are integral parts under the able supervision and guidance of the President and other external members of the Governing Body. Maintaining this family feeling is crucial for overall growth and stability. We are committed to providing a safe environment, free from bias and prejudice, ensuring that every member can thrive and achieve his/her full potential.
